Day One Hundred and Ninety Six.

My boyfriend and I were both exhausted this morning when we woke up. We were up a little bit later than usual watching a new TV show, which my Brother-In-Law is actually consulting on, last night. The show was great! Anyway, I was a bit frantic because it was meeting day and wanted to make sure that I went. I managed to get to work right on time and was able to attend the early morning meeting. Everything seemed to be going fine until I reported to my station only to find out that two people had called in so we would be short. It was such a stressful morning and I was almost 100% prepared for not taking a break until noon, but one of the supervisors covered my position so that I could step away for a few minutes. The day didn't slow down until after lunch time but it sure went fast. I came right home after work and I was so excited that it was a nice, warm, spring day.
I ended up letting the dogs play outside for a while so I could collect the garbage and go through my mail. Today was the first day that the dogs seemed to be enjoying each others company! They chased each other around the backyard for quite a while. I ended up doing my Jillian Michaels workout after I let them in and I was very proud of how many of the moves I was able to do today. In fact, when I was finished, I was more tired than I had been the previous times I had done it. I hope this means that I'm on the right track to success. My oldest sister sent me a text message saying she would be at my house around 7:30pm which gave me enough time after my workout to put a load of laundry in and take my shower. I also managed to balance my checkbook before she showed up.
I felt bad because I didn't do anything spectacular for her when it came to dinner. I let her eat the two leftover pieces of pizza, with a side salad, while I made my token buffalo chicken salad. I also remembered I still had the ice cream flavor she loves in my freezer from my Birthday celebration a few weeks ago so she had a bowl of that too. Her dog was so excited to see her and was the most calm he's been the entire time he's been here. We had a nice evening catching up together and she told me about her trip, which sounded great.
I'm even more upset with myself today about how terrible my hands look. I'm not sure what is going on exactly but I've been doing a lot of obsessive cleaning around the house and then post cleaning hand washing. That sounds silly because I do that all the time, but even more so:( I was hoping to vacuum the house tomorrow after I get home from work, to get it out of the way, but that's really going to bother my hands. Maybe I should put hand cream on them while I'm doing it so at least it won't make them worse. I also promised my dog a walk so that is definitely going to be the first thing I do. Alright that's it for now!
