Day One Hundred and Seventy Nine.

I woke up around 10:30am again this morning and within minutes my friend's baby came right in the room to help get our day started. I thought it was so cute and he also let me put his Sponge Bob socks on. We packed everything up and then followed my friends to a local breakfast place to eat at before we headed home. The line was really long, but breakfast was great. I got a Tex-Mex omelet but decided against home fries and opted for a fruit cup because I was still not feeling that hungry after the previous day. After breakfast we said our good-byes and headed home.
I drove the first half of the trip which was fine because there was not really any traffic but I was a little uncomfortable due to women issues:( We stopped and got some ice coffees after about an hour and a half, then we made a restroom stop before we switched drivers. We ended up at my sisters house about 6:30pm and chatted with her and her husband for a little while. When we got home it was right about 8pm which wasn't terrible and gave us sometime before we had to go to sleep.
Over all I definitely think that I didn't do that bad with my OCD this weekend. It's amazing how being around a child puts things in perspective about how much touching the floor you can actually do without anything being harmed. I'm pretty sure that everything this child picked up either came off of the floor or ended up on it....then in his mouth! I think the hardest part was the fact that he had an obsession with shoes, so he was moving everyone's shoes from one room to the other. At one point he put his Father's shoes on the kitchen counter which really freaked me out! I'm so glad we went to visit and it turned out to be a really nice weekend. Reality will set in tomorrow morning because I'm back on day shift at work, so I better hit the bed now!

  1. Awww! He let you put his socks on! Too cute.

Well the shoes on the counter is even too much for me. If you're looking for the line, its probably right about there. Moving shoes around on the floor, totally fine. Putting shoes on a food prep surface, not OK. But babies don't know do they?
