I woke up on the couch at 7:30am yesterday and I was so tired I could barely move, but felt I should go to my bed. I put my dog out then went to crawl back into bed with my boyfriend who was already there. We were able to get a couple more hours of sleep until I decided we had better get ourselves together because my twin sister would be picking us up soon. I actually had to get to the bank and quickly run to the store before we'd be able to go. My twin sister and her husband arrived around 12:30pm which was perfect timing because I was just wrapping everything up. We chit chatted for a bit and then headed to my Mom's house!
When we got there my oldest sister was already at the house as well as my second to oldest sister and her husband. One of the biggest things we had planned was to celebrate Mother's Day by throwing my Mom a little tea party with her new silver tea set we got her for her Birthday. My twin sister and second to oldest sister made some wonderful little tea treats which we had with the tea. These consisted of cucumber and salmon sandwiches, savory gruyere and prosciutto scones, sweet strawberry and cream scones as well as mini quiches. Everything was wonderful but I did feel guilty that I didn't have time last week to get anything together. After that was over we all spent time outside because the weather was lovely. For dinner we had lobster with salad and artichokes. I ended up paying for half of dinner so I felt like I did my part there!
It was pretty late when dinner was over but we did play a game before heading to bed. I was very tired! Since I was home I really didn't over wash my hands too much, which is a good thing. I thought I did a good job of suppressing it even though there were moments when I was pretty anxious. It always helps being around my family and seeing that they are not washing their hands every five minutes. In my mind I try to remind myself that nothing terrible is happening to them because they're not obsessively washing, so it isn't necessary that I have to do it as much as I do. Well I guess that's it for now!
