Day Two Hundred and Fifty Four.

It's unbelievable how busy I was this morning and I still managed to get to work on time. I think it helped that when I woke up I instantly realized how much better I was feeling:) I'm not sure what I did right the last few days but maybe the antacids and eating well are really working. Anyway, the first thing I did was make the phone calls I had to make to schedule my follow up test. While I was doing that I decided that I could really go for a warm morning drink so I had a peppermint tea. I was getting pretty addicted to peppermint tea this last month until I found out that it's bad for ulcers....but I'm not sure if that's what I have, so I figured I'd try it out.
My Mother gave me a call this morning because she wanted to make the last minute plans about this coming weekend, so we talked for a while and before I knew it I had to get ready to go to my nail appointment. I'm not sure if I have mentioned this earlier this week or not but we're celebrating my sisters Birthday at my house this weekend. My older sisters were born 5 days apart so we usually celebrate their Birthday's together. My Mother is going to come for the celebration and then stay for the week and watch my dog while I'm gone. Prior to leaving for my appointment I threw a load of laundry in the washing machine, so I would be all caught up for the weekend.
It took about half an hour for them to shellac my nails and it really does look great. In response to a readers question from my blog yesterday, the shellac is the same thing as the gel nails. I picked out "sultry sunset"....which is a pinkish color! On my way home from getting them done I stopped at the CVS for some last minute items for my trip and I also stopped by Stewarts to get the ice cream for my sisters Birthday celebration tomorrow. When I got home it was already 2pm! I had eaten lunch prior to my appointment so I didn't have to worry about that when I got home so I just put the laundry in the dyer and then headed to work.
It was a pretty busy night at work but not overwhelming. I felt like I had a lot of issues which always seems to be the case the last night before a vacation....just so that I have something to worry about I think! I thought I did a good job of not over washing my hands tonight because I didn't want to ruin the new polish and all. They seem to be holding together pretty well. My hands are going to be the ultimate test because I wash them more than most people, I'm sure. When I got home it was nice to see my boyfriend at my house and I guess it was also a nice relief to know that we're both on vacation as of tonight:) Alright, until next time.
