My eyelids were very heavy when I woke up yesterday morning and luckily I didn't have a huge amount of things to do prior to work. After I got up I made coffee and did some more research on hotels in Chicago. The problem I'm having is that a lot of the hotels are actually booked which leaves me in this conundrum of whether we should swap hotels during the trip or not. I really like to settle in so I'm not really a big proponent of that, but I'll discuss it with my boyfriend when I see him later on. I left enough time to workout, eat lunch, shower, and fold the laundry from the day before. Yes, I did say workout! I did my Jillian Michael's AB workout and I will say that it wasn't as hard as I was expecting for having a two week break.
I was expecting a really busy night at work but it was actually fairly decent. There was just enough work to keep me busy the entire shift but not too much that I was going out of my mind. I had enough time to get coffee and eat my Lean Cuisine, which is always a plus! Unfortunately, I got involved in something the last half an hour so I didn't leave until around 11:30pm. I wasn't going home to anything special so I really didn't mind.
When I got home I had some wine and watched the "Usual Suspects". I have been meaning to watch this movie since I got into "House of Cards" and have become a pretty big Kevin Spacey fan. He did win an Oscar for the role in this movie and I thought he did a great job. As a whole I didn't love the movie because it was a bit of what my Mother calls a "mans movie". I'm trying to explain what I mean by that and it's kind of difficult. There just weren't any female roles so besides the original plot there weren't any side stories involving relationships. Not that every movie needs that but it makes certain things more believable because everyone has sex.
Anyway, unfortunately I ended up washing my hands a ton yesterday and they are starting to look very bad. I don't have a lot on my to do list as far as cleaning is involved for my day off so maybe that will help. Actually I'm going to have lunch and take my dog for a hike with my co-worker so I hope the weather is nice!
