Today was one of the first days in a while that I didn't have to get out of bed until I was ready. I had a bit of a hard time getting to sleep so I didn't get out of bed until almost 11am. When I did I made myself a cup of coffee and then did some brain storming about Birthday present ideas for my boyfriend. His Birthday is coming up June 26th and he's not given me any good suggestions. I ended up giving him a call then having a Lean Cuisine for lunch. The morning went by so fast so after lunch I got a load of laundry in, then took a shower. I had just enough time afterwards to give my Father a call then head to work.
It was a much slower night at work tonight then it was yesterday, which was a nice break. It was also good that even though it wasn't that busy the time went by really fast. I think it was because we had a good group of people working, including one of my closest friends. It was nice to catch up! We ordered out at work tonight so I had half of a buffalo chicken wrap and half of a turkey panini. My co-worker and I always share our sandwiches:) They were both good but made me very thirsty. I got out of work right on time tonight so I got home before 11:30pm.
I'm still trying to get over this cold and I felt terrible this morning because my cough had gotten worse, but I'm surprised that I actually feel much better tonight. I've been good about taking Airborne and I'm also taking zinc cough drops, so hopefully they're helping. The most annoying thing about this cold is that I've lost almost all of my sense of taste and smell. You would think that I would be using this time to diet a bit but I'm still eating just as much. I really need to start exercising again but I haven't felt good enough to do it for the last several weeks. This is all just giving me motivation to get back into a workout regimen as soon as I start feeling better.
I did a decent amount of hand washing at work tonight but I was able to resist some of the urges. I seriously think that the gel manicure I got is helping a little bit because I don't want my nails to chip. I only have one really small chip on my middle finger and that's it. It's really amazing how great this gel manicure has held up! Well, until next time.
