I didn't think work could get more busy than it was yesterday but today seemed to top it off. I got up earlier than usual because I wanted to make it to the Wednesday morning meeting, which I did. The topic wasn't anything all that great so honestly it was a meeting I really could have missed. I did grab some coffee and my lunch around 9am because I knew I probably wasn't going to get a chance to eat again. I was glad I did that because sure enough I certainly didn't have time to eat again until I got home. I didn't end up getting home until around 5pm and then I had to go to the food store to get what we needed for dinner.
My boyfriend was actually at my house after my trip to the store because he had a meeting in the city, so he had taken the train down and just didn't go back to work when he got back to town. I ended up putting a load of laundry in and taking a shower while he mowed the back yard. Then we made dinner together which was beef stroganoff with a salad on the side. Both my boyfriend and I were very tired after dinner so we just watched some TV and that was it.
So I'm pretty annoyed that I think I may have caught a cold on our travels to Chicago. Yesterday it started with a sore throat, but I wasn't convinced there was anything going on more than a little bit of allergies. Today I was doing a lot of nose blowing and I'm very congested. I can't seem to catch a break! This week my upper right quadrant pain has been feeling a whole lot better and now I have a cold:( It doesn't help that work has been so crazy this week and I've been busy every night after work catching up on house chores. Once your an adult you don't even have time to get sick. I hate to be complaining so much because it really could be a lot worse, but I can't help but vent sometimes.
My hands look surprisingly well and I am contributing most of that to the warm weather. Well, not all of it, because I'm also trying to make more of a conscious effort to avoid unnecessary hand washing. Tonight when I was chopping the salad stuff I stopped myself twice from doing an extra washing. I know that doesn't sound like a lot but when you wash your hands as much as I do, even a few breaks can help! Alright, well I'm simply exhausted!
