Today has been an extremely busy one and it definitely took it's toll on me. On the work schedule I was supposed to be in a half an hour early but last week I switched with someone who didn't have to be in until 9am to try and prolong my weekend. My boyfriend actually had the day off today so it was nice being able to sleep in a little bit together. I left work a half an hour earlier than I normally would because I was unsure of what the traffic would be like at that time compared to the usual 7am commute. I think that because school is not in this week the commute was actually a lot better than normal, plus I got to park in the parking garage. I am back to the normal schedule of being in at 7am tomorrow plus it's going to snow so I'm going to try to head to bed as soon as I'm done this. It was a different feel at work today with the change in time, plus it was my first day in this position where they added a second employee to lighten the load. It was a much better day than normal in that position.
I ended up getting home a little bit after 6pm which didn't leave me much time this evening to do anything besides the chores I had to get done. I collected the laundry, gathered the bathroom garbage, cleaned the bathroom downstairs, put a load of laundry in the wash and then took a shower. Afterwards I had to pay some bills and balance my checkbook but I decided to eat dinner first. I also had to empty the dishwasher. It was already 9pm by the time I was done that so I put the laundry in the dryer and then played with my dog for a little while.
My boyfriend and I started making plans for the coming weekend on the phone tonight which should be pretty fun because we're going to go to a Beer summit near where we live. We went back and forth about whether we should get a hotel room so we wouldn't have to drive and we ultimately decided to do it. It ended up only being about $100 and we decided that it would be worth it instead of having to worry about getting pulled over. My boyfriend's parents will be in town and they already said they would watch my dog for us which is good news. I promised his parents that I would have dinner with them Friday night because it's been so long since I've seen them. My hands looked pretty good before today but I washed them quite a bit at work and then with all the cleaning I did after work they got very dry. I am going to get cream on them before I get into bed and hope they look better tomorrow. The rest of the week I am in a spot where I tend to wash my hands the most so I don't want to go into it with already ruined hands. Well, until next time:)
