I went to bed way to late last night and I got woken up by the sound of my neighbor shoveling his driveway. What irritated me about that was the fact that it had only snowed about an inch and a half at that point and his dogs were barking the entire time. Anyway, once I got out of bed I followed my plan of getting the spare room sheets in the washer just in case my co-worked decided to stay over. I did send her a text message and she told me she had gotten someone from the night shift to come in two hours early for her so she could get home during the lull in the storm. I was actually pretty relieved because I didn't know how comfortable I was feeling about her coming over and it's nice now that the sheets are clean:) I took my shower right after that, even before I had coffee, because all I could think about was how early I would have to leave in order to get to work on time.
After my shower I called my twin sister, ate lunch, folded laundry and then got myself ready to go outside to get my car un-buried. It was snowing so much that by the time I had shoveled my car out the sidewalk needed to be shoveled again! I left my house at 2:20pm and managed to get to work at 2:40pm. The roads were pretty terrible but it was nice that not many people were out driving around. I was glad I got to work on time and person I was taking over was happy to see me as well, so that she could get herself home in a decent time. Work tonight wasn't that busy at all, but I had enough to do to make the time go by fast. I was really getting anxious about the drive home though, in fact I forced myself to leave work right on time so I wouldn't be getting out late.
It had stopped snowing and started sleeting when I got outside but the roads were almost clear. There also wasn't anyone driving on them so the ride home was actually a lot better than the ride in. My boyfriend was at my house and he had done all the rest of the shoveling for me when he got there, which was really nice. We spent a little bit talking before he went up to bed. I was super annoyed with the fact that he told me my neighbor had yelled at him for putting snow on her side of the driveway. I wasn't that surprised when he told me because she had done the same thing to my ex-boyfriend as well as the kids who have done some plowing for me. I asked him what he said and he told me he was too taken aback to even respond. It simply infuriates me that she has the nerve to say something like that....who exactly does she think she is?! The part of the driveway she is talking about is way at the bottom and barely any of the snow crosses her line! Any of the snow which does is purely an accident, in no way deliberate. Then she had the nerve to say "the cameras don't lie"....oh yeah by the way she has video cameras out there recording every movement outside her house.
With everything else that was going on today I didn't really have that much time to be obsessive, which is a really good thing. I didn't end up doing too much around the house besides what I listed because the whole day went by really fast. I'm hoping that she snow tapers off in the morning so I don't have to leave quite so early for work tomorrow. Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and I'm excited that the two little presents I ordered online for my boyfriend arrived today. I'm going to get them together so I can give them to him tomorrow night. Alright, I'm exhausted and am going to bed!
