Day One Hundred and Thirty Six.

    Yesterday I fell asleep watching a movie on the couch and was too tired to get up and blog. It was a pretty mellow day overall which was nice because unfortunately I started feeling like I must have caught a cold on vacation. When I woke up from a very nice rest in my own bed I had a bit of a sore throat and cough. When I got out of bed my boyfriend made us a nice omelet breakfast and we sat in the living room drinking coffee afterwards. We spend a decent amount of time compiling our food store list because we planned on making chili and wings for the Super Bowl. Since we had some time we decided to plan some future meals for the rest of the week as well.
    Our trip to the food store went pretty smoothly and we got everything we needed. I thought it would be a good idea to just make chili for dinner yesterday because then we wouldn't have to do so much work today. I also decided to make home made corn bread because the recipe I found online wasn't that involved and the Jiffy cornbread we bought last time we made chili wasn't that great. It took a good three and a half hours to make dinner last night and we also prepared the chicken wings while we were at it. I'm glad we made the chili last night because I don't feel great at all this morning and am glad that's something we don't have to do today. The chili ended up being amazing but I still can't believe after all the peppers we put in it that it wasn't spicier. I'm wondering if this cold is altering my taste buds.
    After I got dinner cleaned up we went to the living room and watched a movie which neither one of us made it through because we both fell asleep. Yesterday I also got the laundry from Friday folded and put another load of laundry in. I would be done with all of my traveling laundry if it weren't for my boyfriend's clothes which I had to get washed as well. It's funny because he spent the night at my house on Wednesday and he left laundry here then. I teased him about how unfair it is that I was caught up on the laundry when I left and there was some accumulated when I was gone. My hands got washed a lot yesterday because of all the cooking and laundry but they don't look terrible. I made sure to put a lot of cream on them after I was done with all my work.
