Day One Hundred and Forty One.

It's amazing how much better I felt when I woke up today. During the evening yesterday I had this pounding headache which I couldn't shake. I'm the worst with headaches because I never get them, so when I do, I can't function at all. It started coming on shortly after work so I contributed it to dehydration, but drinking fluids wasn't helping. Then I turned to caffeine and when that didn't work I went to my last option which was ibuprofen and when that didn't work I went to bed. I was so relieved when I woke up to not have the headache anymore:) It really gives me much more empathy for migraine sufferers since I can't even deal with a headache once every six months!
I woke up feeling really decent this morning but unfortunately my boyfriend is probably three days behind me on this cold, so he felt terrible. I feel really bad because I definitely gave my cold to him:( I did talk to him tonight and he didn't seem too bad....just had the nagging cough which I had. I have a feeling he will be doing a lot better tomorrow! I woke up fairly early this morning because I was worried about the roads still being bad so I wanted to give myself some extra time for the drive in. I was surprisingly impressed with how well the roads were plowed so it wasn't a bad drive and I got to work right about time. Today was probably the slowest of all the days this week until around 2pm. Then I got hammered with work, but I thought I did a decent job of getting things cleaned up for the next shift.
I had a lot of things I wanted to do after work, the first being a stop at the wine store to pick up some wine for tonight. I thought since I'm feeling better and I haven't indulged in a alcoholic beverage all week that I should be allowed a drink or two tonight. This trip to the wine store cost me no money at all because by my complete surprise I actually won money from the Super Bowl pool at work. When my supervisor told me, see he organizes the whole pool, I denied the fact I had won. In my head when I looked at the chart I didn't win anything but it's because I had no idea how these pools work in the first place....he took his time and explained them to me, luckily he's a real nice guy and just thought the whole thing was funny. Anyway, I put $20 down for my two picks and I won $66 dollars:)
After I got home I collected all the trash around the house because tomorrow is trash day and I did some extra shoveling of snow so I could get the bins in the street. I also ended up putting another load of laundry in. I didn't want to have to, but I figured my day off would be a great day to wash up all of my machine washable jackets. I took my shower, then folded laundry from the day before, and finally it was me time:) I had left overs from the other night when my boyfriend made chicken Marsala with a side salad and it was great. My hands look pretty ruined but I think it's because of today. I did a lot of hand washing between all of my chores today and I think I have a tendency of creating times to wash my hands when I'm alone. That sounds odd, but I guess I feel really vulnerable when I'm alone, so I do something which makes me feel comfortable. Alright, I feel I've spoken enough for one night!
